My wife and I have a few hours to ourselves tonight. The boys are heading to see the London Knights play the Oshawa Generals in OHL action tonight. At present we are planning to use that free time to try a new Vietnamese restaurant that is near us. It is in the same location of a Korean restaurant that we really enjoyed, especially the barley tea.
After that, who knows. A quiet house with no kids? Whatever could two consenting adults do?
Saturday looks to involve some running around for Daniel's play and then not much. Hoping to keep my winning streak in all leagues going. I have won all games in fantasy football for the last two weeks. Hopefully it can be three.
Very surprised that Rooney signed with Manchester United given the turmoil and words exchanged this week. I am quite happy about it though.
Cooking wise, I know I am craving French Onion Soup. Sunday for football I am thinking a nice fall meal of roast and some potatoes. Not sure of the details on that yet.

OHL games are always good value. Here we have the Windsor Spitfires and the Plymouth Whalers. Although my favorite memory of a Whalers game was sitting behind Nick Lidstrom, who had brought his family for the school fundraiser. Poor man went to the men's room between periods and wasn't seen again until the third! Crowds of young hockey players had found him, and he chatted with all of them and signed autographs. Very nice man.
