Thanksgiving round up

The meal went off without a hitch. Turkey, moist and delicious with the brine, marinating in white wine and garlic and cooked well. Bachalau was delicious. Stuffing great. Lasagna was my beautiful wife's favorite. The double stuff mash potatoes were good too. Not much left overs. Always a good sign.

Not only did we eat well but we had a road hockey game. This is becoming a family Thanksgiving tradition. Then we enjoyed dessert outside in the back yard.

The balance of the weekend was relaxing. I did throw the football around with the kids for an hour yesterday and today had a 6k trail run with my dog and beautiful wife and the afternoon was a football game with the immediate family. I think I also won all three fantasy football games, my Redskins won.

Today I made a pizza using my new pizza stone. It came out great. I don't know whether it was pizza stone related or the fact that if you get the initial water temp right for the yeast, the dough usually rises nice.
