All in all I would have to put it down as a good weekend.
The toilet took longer to fix then anticipated, due to it being more than fixing the wax ring. The rubber ring between tank and base needed replacing as well and naturally the screws were rusted through. A pain to fix.
After that the weekend was all about food, just the way I like my weekends to be.
For lunch it was Portuguese Chicken and then we picked up some of the items required for this weekend’s Thanksgiving dinner, specifically some bacalahua and a meat grinder for making the stuffing.
Dinner was off to Paris (the Ontario variety) for a 25th wedding anniversary. The prime rib I had was spectacular as was the roasted vegetables.
Sunday had me making a fine lunch of pork chops served with a cranberry-maple chutney and paired with roasted root vegetables. It was delicious, easy and will go in the dinner rotation. A good fall meal.
The balance of the day was watching football. Some really good games on and Washington won over Philadelphia. My three fantasy teams lost however. Not a good year for me. I have a shot at the playoffs in two leagues but the family league I am 0 – 4 and it is not looking good. I essentially have to win every remaining game.

You and I are fellow Leos. That meal Sunday would be my favorite -- I am loving dishes with cranberry in them these days and saw a great marinade for chicken with cranberry and cranberry juice and lime....love the 'fall' foods -- soups, stews, chilis, pot pies..root veggies...
I agree 100%. I would like to throw freshly baked bread into that mix as well.
