Hump day miscellaneous

I have signed up for the 21 day meditation challenge. I and my beautiful wife have been doing this more, and trying to incorporate more of what we have learned by exploring Buddhism (mindfulness, loving-kindness, non-attachment) and we are finding this is making us better parents and better people. As an aside, we also find this is improving the quality of our sex life.

I am looking forward to this meditation challenge as it is still a struggle to sit and be silent at times. This will help to keep it fresh.

Setanta Sports has a free preview on now and today they are showing the Braga/Sevilla Champions League game. I will be able to watch a re-broadcast at 6:15. Yeah me.

I am tired of listening to the mosque debate. Let them build it. This may be a news flash to some, but not all Muslims are evil or dangerous. Let's even look at the numbers. Let's say that 1 million Muslims are evil and want to kill everyone that they meet. I think that number is far too high but I am trying to make a point. There are roughly 1.5 billion Muslims world wide. If the 1 million bad evil ones are compared to the total, then this equates to roughly 0.07% of Muslims. That doesn't seem like a big issue.

Also, although some Muslims did a very bad thing, that does not make all Muslims bad. Some Catholic priests did some horrible things, does that make ALL Catholics pedophiles? Some evangelical Christians are full of hate but then there are some like Mainline Mom that are full of love, as she documents on her blog.

Let's face it, there are good and bad in every group (possible exceptions being Nazis, Al-Queda and Philadelphia Eagle fans. These groups are just evil.)
